Week 3 Power Rankings: Boys Individuals


 

1.       Silas Eastman Fryeburg


Last Week: 1

Meet: at Freeport

Place: 1st

Time: 16:04
Eastman destroyed the competition at Freeport running an incredibly fast time of 16:04. I don’t have official word, but that has to be the course record. Eastman will get his chance to run against the top guys in New England this Saturday at the Manchester Invitational.

2.       Dan Curts Ellsworth


Last Week: 2

Meet: at Blue Hill

Place: 1st

Time: 16:04

Curts continues to roll through Eastern Maine as he earned himself another victory. This time it was a Blue Hill where he ran a fast time of 16:04. If he goes to the Manchester Invitational on Saturday, look for him to contend for a top ten finish.

3.       Jack Pierce Merriconeag


Last Week: 3

Meet: at Kittery

Place: 1st

Time: 16:54

Pierce continued his fine season as he took home another victory one the tough Kittery course (16:54). Look for Pierce to contend for a top ten finish at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.

4.       Josef Holt Telstar

Last Week: 4

Meet:  at Carrabec

Place: 1st

Time: 15:50

Holt continues to crush the competition in Class C as he clocked in a great time of 15:50 at Carrabec. The great Matt McClintock ran 15:38 on that course last year so watch out for the Telstar stud for the rest of the year.

5.       Will Shafer GNG

Last Week: 5

Meet: at Yarmouth

Place: DNC

Time: N/A

Shafer was able to rest his legs last week. Look for him to cruise to a victory on his home course this Friday.

6.       Jonathan Stanhope Bangor

Last Week: 7

Meet: at Hampden

Place: 1st

Time: 15:53.09

Stanhope looked very impressive in his win at Hampden as he clocked a fine time of 15:53.09 over the 2.9 mile course. Look for Stanhope to go unchallenged when Bangor heads to MDI on Friday.

7.       Cam Nadeau Biddeford

Last Week: 8

Meet: at Westbrook

Place: 1st

Time: 17:10

Nadeau cruised to a victory at Westbrook as he won in a time of 17:10. His time was 24 seconds ahead of the runner up. Look for him to come out on top again when Biddeford heads to Scarborough on Friday.

8.       Mohamed Awil Lewiston

Last Week: 6

Meet: at Messalonskee

Place: 1st

Time: 17:51

Awil placed first running a time of 17:51 on a tough Messalonskee course. Look for him to continue to emerge when Lewiston heads to Oxford Hills on Friday.

9.       Ben Trapani Camden Hills

Last Week: UR

Meet: at Medomak Valley

Place: 1st

Time: 18:08.04 (3.36 miles)

Trapani has had a breakout year this fall as he continues to emerge as one of the top runners in the KVAC. Look for him to continue this success when Camden heads to Cony on Friday.

10.   Braden Becker Yarmouth

Last Week: UR

Meet: at Yarmouth

Place: 1st

Time: 16:37

Becker has emerged as one of the top runners in the WMC this year. He proved it again last week as he cruised on his home course running a time of 16:37. Look for Becker to challenge Will Shafer for the win a GNG on Friday.

  1. Mohamed Mohamed won the Messalonskee meet. Mohamed Awil was 2nd and Mohamed Barre 3rd. Awil was leading but lost it when he made a wrong turn. Top three were 15sec apart.
