Girls XC Individual Rankings: 10. Charlotte Pierce Thornton Academy

    SB: 18:56

Charlotte Pierce's transition from Massabesic to Thornton Academy certainly paid dividends to this talented runner. Pierce had an outstanding Junior season for Thornton Academy as she was one of the most dominant runners in the SMAA this fall. Her best race of her season came at Deering where she ran a blistering time of 18:56. Her time that day was nearly forty seconds faster than second place finisher Jocelyn Acheson of Massabesic. Pierce continued to progress as the postseason rolled around. She had an off race at the Western Maine Class A Regional Championships as she placed 18th overall running a time of 22:03.93. Pierce bounced back in a great way at the state meet as she placed 11th overall running a fast time of 20:46.17. Look for Pierce to bring her talents to another level for her Senior year, and make a run at the individual title at the Western Maine Regional Championships next fall.
