An Early Look at the Best Female Trios

Leading up to the regular season The SB Report will give up-to-date power rankings as well as previews for each of the annual awards. Here is the preview for the best female trios...

Previous Winners
2011: Cheverus- Emily Durgin, Fiona Hendry, Shannon Conley
  1. Massabesic- Gabrielle Johnson, Jocelyn Acheson, Marrie Harrington
All three of these girls placed in the top 20 at the Class A state meet which gives them the slight advantage over MDI for best trio in the state. Gabrielle Johnson had a fantastic spring this year running 11:46 in the 3200.
  2. MDI- Nora Hubbell, Isabel Erickson, Olivia Erickson
It was difficult to cut this list down to three seeing as MDI placed five runners in the top twenty in Class B last fall. Hubbell and Erickson sisters routinely exchanged number one runner roles last fall as they brought MDI to the promised land last fall. These three runners will be counted on if MDI wants to repeat.
  3. Mt Ararat- Kelly Lynch, Olivia Swan, Lauren McNett
All three of these girls placed in the top thiry in Class A led by Kelly Lynch's 12th place finish last fall. The fate of this team relies heavily on these three runners who all had great outdoor seasons. Look for Mt. Ararat to make a run at a podium finish this fall.
  4. Cheverus -Shannon Conley, Kiera Murray, Georgia Caso
The Stags have two of the top returners in the state with Shannon Conley and Kiera Murray. Sophomore Georgia Caso will be asked to take on a bigger role this year as the stags look for yet another state championship.
  5. Hampden Academy- Kylee Parker, Eizabeth Labun, Roxy Withers
Hampden Academy brings back three girls who placed in the top fifty in Class A last fall. Leading the charge for them is Kylee Parker. She placed 13th last year. If Hampden wants to catch up to the top guns, Elizabeth Labun and Roxy Withers who have to continue to improve.
