Boys XC Power Rankings: Week 4


  1. Scarborough

    Previous: 1

    Last Meet: at Sanford

    Place: 1st

    Scarborough posted another easy victory last Friday at Sanford behind Nick Morris' first place finish. The Red Storm will be the early favorite going into the Festival of Champions on Saturday.

  2. Falmouth

    Previous: 2

    Last Meet: at Wells

    Place: 1st

    Falmouth dominated once again behind Tim Follo's first place performance at wells. Look for Falmouth to challenge Scarborough for the top spot at the Festival of Champions.

  3. Caribou

    Previous: 3

    Last Meet: Sectional Invitational

    Place: 1st

    Caribou proved why they are the team to beat in the class B east as they won the Sectional Invitational in Old Town last Saturday. Look for the Vikings to make a push for a top two finish at the Festival of Champions.

  4. Greely

    Previous: 5

    Last Meet: Manchester Invitational

    Place: 1st (Small School Race)

    The Rangers proved why they will be a force to be reckoned with in the WMC as they won the Small School Race at the Manchester Invitational. Greely heads to Traip this Thursday where they should go unchallenged.

  5. York

    Previous: 6

    Last Meet: at Cape

    Place: 1st

    York placed first on the fast Cape Elizabeth course behind Mitch Finitz's second place finish. They have a tough challenge on Thursday when they will race against Greely.

  6. South Portland

    Previous: 7

    Last Meet: Home

    Place: 1st

    South Portland defended their home course with ease as they dominated the team competition behind John Wilkinson's first place finish. Look for the Red Riots to contend for a top five finish this Saturday at the Festival of Champions.

  7. NYA

    Previous: 4

    Last Meet: Manchester Invitational

    Place: 9th (Small School Race)

    NYA placed sixth in the small school race at the Manchester Invitational behind Cam Regan's fourth place finish. Look for NYA to contend for a top five finish at the Festival of Champions on Saturday.

  8. Bangor

    Previous: 8

    Last Meet: at MCI

    Place: 1st

    Bangor took home an easy victory at MCI behind Jonathan Stanhope's second place finish. Look for Bangor to contend for a top five finish at the Festival of Champions on Saturday.

  9. John Bapst

    Previous: 9

    Last Meet: Sectional Invitational

    Place: 2nd

    John Bapst placed second at the Sectional Invitational behind Alex Beals' fourth place finish. Look for John Bapst to contend for a top five finish at the Festival of Champions.

  10. Freeport

    Previous: UR

    Last Meet: Manchester Invitational

    Place: 6th (Small School Race)

    Freeport placed sixth at the Manchester Invitational behind Taylor Saucier's 11th place finish. The Falcons will have a tough challenge when they compete against Greely and York this Thursday.

  1. Matt McClintock Madison

    Previous: 1

    Last Meet: at Wiscasset

    Place: 1st

    Time: 15:07(3 Miles)

    McClintock added another dominating victory to his stellar season at Wiscasset running a time of 15:07. If the weather is up to par, look for McClintock to not only break 16 minutes, but to make a run at Will Geoghegan's course record of 15:33 at the Festival of Champions.

  2. Silas Eastman Fryeburg

    Previous: 2

    Last Meet: at Cape

    Place: 1st

    Time: 15:26

    Eastman joined elite company on Friday as his time of 15:26 clocked in as the third fastest time ever on the fast Cape Elizabeth course. Look for Eastman to run another fast time on his home course this Saturday.

  3. Harlow Ladd Messalonskee

    Previous: 3

    Last Meet: at MCI

    Place: 1st

    Time: 17:30

    Ladd cruised to an easy victory at MCI last Friday. Look for Ladd to challenge Matt McClintock for the win at the Festival of Champions on Saturday.

  4. Chase Brown Boothbay

    Previous: 4

    Last Meet: at Wiscasset

    Place: 2nd

    Time: 16:11

    Brown placed second to his in-conference rival Matt McClintock running a fine time of 16:11. Look for Brown to challenge for a top three finish at the Festival of Champions.

  5. Tim Follo Falmouth

    Previous: 5

    Last Meet: at Wells

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:38

    Follo cruised to an easy victory at Wells as he covered the three mile course in a time of 16:38. Look for Follo to challenge for a top three finish at the Festival of Champions on Saturday.

  6. Nick Morris Scarborough

    Previous: 7

    Last Meet: at Sanford

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:35

    Morris used his devastating kick to pull out a victory at Sanford last Friday. Look for Morris to contend for a top five finish on Saturday.

  7. Dan Curts Ellsworth

    Previous: 6

    Last Meet: Sectional Invitational

    Place: 2nd

    Time: 16:41.79

    Curts suffered his first loss of the year last Saturday at the Sectional Invitational. Look for Curts to contend for a top five finish at Belfast on Saturday.

  8. Andy Reifman-Packett Mt Ararat

    Previous: 8

    Last Meet: at Brunswick

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:55

    Reifman-Packett pulled away from Brunswick's Jamie Ross to pull out an eight second victory at Brunswick on Friday. Expect Reifman-Packett to take home another victory when Mt. Ararat heads to Morse on Thursday.

  9. Alex Buteel Orono

    Last Meet: Sectional Invitational

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:41.54

    Buteel shocked the eastern Maine area on Saturday as he squeaked out a victory over Ellsworth's Dan Curts running a time of 16:41.54. Look for Buteel to contend for a top ten finish at Belfast on Saturday.

  10. Jack Pierce Merriconeag

    Previous: 9

    Last Meet: at Yarmouth

    Place: 1st

    Time: 18:57

    Pierce placed first at Yarmouth on Friday running a time of 18:57. Look for Pierce to challenge Silas Eastman at Fryeburg on Saturday.
