Boys XC Power Rankings: Week 9



Team

  1. Falmouth

    Previous: 1

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 1st Class B

    Falmouth took home its first title since 2002 in dominating fashion as they were lead by Tim Follo who placed second overall. Look for the Yachtsmen to contend for a top eight finish at the New England Championships in Rhode Island on November 12th.

  2. Scarborough

    Previous: 2

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 1st Class A

    Scarborough took its sixth Class A title in eight years behind Nick Morris's first place finish. Look for the Red Storm to contend for a top ten finish at the New England Championships.

  3. Bangor

    Previous: 5

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 2nd Class A

    The Rams nabbed the runner up spot in Class A behind Jonathan Stanhope's 12th place finish. Look for Bangor to contend for a top fifteen finish at the New England Championships.

  4. NYA

    Previous: 4

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 1st Class C

    NYA took home its second straight title behind Alex Coffin's tenth place finish. Look for NYA to contend for a top twenty finish at the New England Championships.

  5. Greely

    Previous: 9

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 2nd Class B

    The Rangers nabbed the runner up spot in Class B behind the duo of Stefan Sandrueter and Nate Maderia. They placed fourth and fifth respectively. Look for Greely to contend for a top twenty finish at New England's.

  6. Caribou

    Previous: 3

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 3rd

    Caribou narrowly missed a runner up finish as they finished one point behind Greely. Ron Lund led the way for the Vikings as he placed tenth overall.

  7. York

    Previous: 7

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 4th Class B

    York placed fourth in Class B behind Mitch Finitz's seventh place finish. Look for the Wildcats to contend for a top twenty finish at the New England Championships.

  8. South Portland

    Previous: 6

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 3rd

    South Portland placed third in Class A behind Darryl Wilkinson's 14th place finish. Expect the Red Riots to be one of the favorites in the SMAA as they bring back three runners from their top five.

  9. Mt. Ararat

    Previous: 8

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 4th Class A

    Mt. Ararat placed fourth in Class A behind Andy Reifman-Packett's sixth place finish. Expect Mt. Ararat to one of the favorites in the KVAC next fall as they bring back five of their top six runners.

  10. Cape Elizabeth

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 5th Class B

    The Capers placed fifth in Class B behind Peter Doane's 8th place finish. Expect Cape Elizabeth to be one of the favorites in the WMC next year as they bring back five of their top six runners.

  1. Matt McClintock Madison

    Place: 1st

    Time: 15:52.97

    McClintock joined elite company on Saturday as he became only the sixth runner to run under 16 minutes at Twinbrooks. Look for McClintock to contend for a top five finish at the New England Championships in Rhode Island.

  2. Silas Eastman Fryeburg

    Last Meet: States

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:14.15

    Eastman showed incredible strength on Saturday as he widened his lead on Tim Follo by over fifteen seconds during the last mile. His time of 16:14.15 was the second fastest of all classes. Look for Eastman to contend for a top ten finish at the New England Championships.

  3. Nick Morris Scarborough

    Place: 1st

    Time: 16:46.81

    Morris won his second straight individual title as he edged Harlow Ladd by .02 seconds on his lean at the end. Look for Morris to contend for a top 25 finish at the New England Championships.

  4. Tim Follo Falmouth

    Place: 2nd Class B

    Time: 16:32.20

    Follo nabbed the runner up spot in Class B running a personal best on the Twinbrook course (16:32.20). Look for Follo to contend for a top 25 finish at the New England Championships.

  5. Harlow Ladd Messalonskee

    Place: 2nd Class A

    Time: 16:46.83

    Ladd narrowly missed the individual title as he finished just .02 seconds behind Nick Morris. Look for Ladd to contend for a top 25 finish at the New England Championships.

  6. Chase Brown Boothbay

    Place: 2nd Class C

    Time: 16:37.63

    Brown placed second in Class C running a fine time of 16:37.63. Look for Brown to contend for a top 25 finish at the New England Championships.

  7. Dan Curts Ellsworth

    Curts placed third in Class B as he run a great time of 16:38.43. Look for Curts to contend for a top thirty finish at the New England Championships.
