Curts had a spectacular Sophomore season as we saw him emerge as one of the top runners in the state. He has quickly become the best Ellsworth runner since the days of Corey Dewitt. Curts had a great regular season as he only suffered two losses, one of them being at the Festival of Champions. He continued to roll as the postseason came along. He had a dominating performance at the Class B East Regionals where he placed first running a time of 16:41.90. Curts followed up his performance with a third place finish at the Class B State meet running a time of 16:38.43 on the tough Twinbrooks course. At the New England Championships Curts was one of only two Sophomores to place in the top 25 as he ran a great time of 16:19. Look for Curts to contend for the individual title in Class B next year, and make a run at a top ten finish at the New England Championships.
