Pierce had an outstanding Junior season last fall as we saw him emerge as one of the top runners of all classes. We all saw how good he could be in 2010 where he placed fourth at the State meet, and he did not disappoint in 2011. Pierce became one of the most feared runners in the WMC last fall as evidence to his third place finish at the Western Maine Conference Championships where he ran a time of 16:44.50. With Madison's Matt McClintock and Boothbay's Chase Brown gone next fall, look for Pierce to challenge for the Class C title and make a run at a top 25 finish at the New England Championships.
