And the winner is...



1. Anne Guadalupi Cony

SB: 19:05.73 Place at States: 10th Class A

Guadalupi had a spectacular first year on the trails as she took the KVAC by storm this fall. We got a glimspe of how good she is at the Festival of Champions as she dominated the freshmen race running a time of 19:21.39 Her time that day was the 8th fastest overall. She continued to impress in the post season. She won easily at the Mt. Blue Relays covering the two mile course in 13:18. She placed second at the KVAC Championships to Teresa Murphy of Brunswick running a time of 20:43.6. She then followed up her performance by winning the Eastern A Regional running a personal best time of 19:05.73. At the state meet last week, she placed tenth overall running a time of 20:15.42 on the historically tough Twin Brook's course. Expect her to be one of the favorites to win the Class A title next year.

2. Tia Tardy Mattawanacook
SB: 19:56.51
Notable Performances: 3rd at Class C State Championship 20:47.55, 2nd at Eastern C Regional Championships 19:58.06, 2nd in Freshmen race at FOC (19th overall) 19:56.51

3. Lydia Dacorette MDI
SB: 19:46.59
Notable Performances: 6th at Class B State Championship 20:50.57, 6th at Eastern B Regional 19:46.59, 6th at PVC Championships 21:02.79

4. Emma Trapani Camden Hills
SB: 20:04.26
Notable Performances: 1st at Belfast (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:13.50, 1st at Medomak Valley (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:04.26, 2nd at Cony (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 21:21

5. Kassidy Dill Orono
SB: 20:25.40
Notable Performances: 5th at Class C State Championships 21:15.31, 4th at Eastern C Regional 20:34.29, 5th in Freshmen Race at FOC (35th overall) 20:25.40

Girls Individual Rankings Week 3


1. Kirstin Sandreuter Greely
Pre: 1 Meet: at Sacopee Place: N/A Time: N/A

Sandreuter will get her chance to show New England what she's capable of when Greely heads to the Manchester Invitational on Saturday. Last year at Manchester she placed second to Aleta Looker in the Small Schools race. Look for her to challenge for the win.

2. Aleta Looker Ellsworth
Pre: 2 Meet: at GSA Place: 1st Time: 18:10 (3 miles)

Looker simply dominated at GSA as her time of 18:10 was three minutes ahead of the runner up. Expect Looker to also challenge for a top finish at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.

3. Shannon Conley South Portland
Pre: 3 Meet: Home Place: 1st Time: 16:50 (2.71 M)

Conley pulled away from Mary Szatkowski of Bonny Eagle as she covered the 2.71 mile course in 16:50. Look for her to win again when South Portland heads to Sanford on Friday.

4. Emma Trapani Camden Hills
Pre: 7 Meet: at Medomak Valley Place: 1st Time: 20:04
Trapani continues to impress as the freshman was victorious once again as she pulled away from Oceanside's Abby Hersom for a 23 second victory. Look for her to run a fast time when Camden heads to Belfast on Friday.

5. Mary Szatkowski Bonny Eagle
Pre: 5 Meet: at South Portland Place: 2nd Time: 17:01
Szatkowski placed second to Shannon Conley of South Portland as she ran a fast time of 17:01 over the 2.71 mile course. She will face off against Kiera Murray of Cheverus on Friday.

6. Kiera Murray Cheverus
Pre: 6 Meet: at Westbrook Place: 1st Time: 20:19
Murray took home the victory at Westbrook as her time of 20:19 was nearly a minute ahead of the runner up. Murray faces a tough challenge when she races against Mary Szatkowski on Friday.

7. Tia Tardy Mattawanacook
Pre: UR Meet: at Orono Place: 1st Time: 18:46 (2.76 M)
Tardy was a surprise victor at Orono as she took down to of the top runners in her region in Lily Koffman of Orono and Maggie Painter of MDI. She looks like a threat to win the Class C title this fall.

8. Kristina Smith Greely
Pre: 8 Meet: at Sacopee Place: 1st Time: 21:23
Smith pulled out a six second victory over York's Heather Evans last Friday. Look for her to contend for a top finish at the Manchester Invitational.

9. Carsyn Koch Washburn
Pre: UR Meet: All Aroostook Selection Place: 1st Time: 21:05
Koch notched another victory this season as she cruised to a time of 21:05 at the All Aroostook Selection meet. 

10. Anne Guadalupi Cony
Pre: UR Meet: at Mt. Ararat Place: 1st Time: 20:49
Guadalupi fended off a big challenge from Teresa Murphy of Brunswick as she clocked in a fast time of 20:49 at Mt. Ararat. She will receive a tough challenge from Emma Trapani of Camden Hills on Friday.
