The Summer and Marissa Award is given to the best female duo in the state
Cheverus
Shannon Conley and Kiera
Murray
The Stags bring back two of the top
runners in the state in Conley and Murray. This formidable duo should
make Cheverus the favorite once again. These two will also battle for
the individual title in class A this year.
Camden
Brittany Bowman and Willow
Parker
Bowman and Parker have become the most
feared dynamic duo in Class B over the year as both of these girls
have individual title aspirations. Bowman and Parker both thrived in
big races last fall, and look for them to do it again this year.
Bowman flourished in the track this spring as we saw her run 5:23 and
11:16 while Parker posted times of 5:32 and 11:41.
Greely
Kirstin Sandrueter and Eva
Bates
Bates is only a sophomore, but expect
big things from her this fall. She placed tenth in Class B last fall,
and brought her talents to another level on the track as we saw her
run 11:36 in the 3200 at the state meet which was good enough for
fourth place. Sandrueter will be one of the favorites to take home
the Class B title this year. She broke 11 minutes in the 3200 at the
New England Championships. This duo should put Greely in great
position.
MDI
Isabel Erickson and Olivia
Erickson
The Erickson sisters are looking to
defend their title in Class B, and with them leading the charge you
have to like their chances. Isabel placed 11th at the
state meet last year while Olivia placed 12th overall.
Look for these girls to improve upon their placing this fall while
leading MDI to the top spot in Class B.
