Week 4 Power Rankings: Boys Individuals




1.      Dan Curts Ellsworth

Meet: Manchester Invitational

Place: 1st

Time: 15:42

Curts proved on Saturday he is one of the best runners in New England. He outkicked Silas Eastman to take home the victory in the Small School race running a time of 15:42. Curts will be the favorite to win the Festival of Champions on Saturday, and perhaps make a run at Will Geoghegan’s course record.

2.      Silas Eastman Fryeburg


Last Week: 1

Meet: Manchester Invitational

Place: 2nd

Time: 15:42

Don’t expect the loss to Curts to faze Eastman. He’s one of the finest runners the WMC has seen since Ben True. Look for him to dominate at Lake Region on Friday.

3.      Jack Pierce Merriconeag


Last Week: 3

Meet: Manchester Invitational

Place: 4th

Time: 16:09

Pierce ran a great race on Saturday as we saw him place fourth running a lifetime best of 16:09. Look for Pierce to contend for a top three finish at FOC.

4.      Josef Holt Andrews Telstar

Last Week: 4

Meet: MVC Preview

Place: 1st

Time: 17:13

Holt-Andrews picked up another victory last week as he won the MVC Preview running a fine time of 17:13. Look for Holt-Andrews to contend for a top three finish at FOC.

5.      Cam Nadeau Biddeford

Last Week: 7

Meet: at Scarborough

Place: 1st Time: 16:55

Nadeau outdistanced himself from a big Scarborough pack as he ran 16:55 on the tough Smiling Hill Farm’s course. Look for Nadeau to contend for a top five finish at FOC.

6.      Jonathan Stanhope Bangor

Last Week: 6

Meet: at MCI

Place: 1st

Time: 18:11

Stanhope continues his fine season as he took home another victory running a time of 18:11. Look for Stanhope to contend for a top five finish at FOC.

7.      Mohamed Awil Lewiston

Last Week: 8

Meet: at Oxford Hills

Place: 1st

Time: 20:12

Awil looked to be doing this race as a workout as the Lewiston crew easily took home the victory at Oxford Hills. Look for Awil to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.

8.      Ben Trapani Camden Hills

Last Week: 9

Meet: at Cony

Place: 1st

Time: 17:27.22

Trapani won easily at Cony running a time of 17:27.22. Look for Ben to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.

9.      Peter Doane Cape Elizabeth

Last Week: UR

Meet: at GNG

Place: 1st

Time: 17:22

Doane ran a brilliant race on one of the toughest courses in the state as his time of 17:22 was six seconds ahead of his teammate. Look for Doane to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.

10. Braden Becker Yarmouth

Last Week: 10

Meet: at GNG

Place: 3rd

Time: 17:29

Becker placed third at GNG running a fine time of 17:29. Look for Becker to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.
