Brown destroyed the competition again at Cony as she ran a brilliant time of 18:42.92. She looks poised to take the title at the Festival of Champions, and perhaps make a run a Cassie Hintz’s course record time of 17:52.

 

 

 

 

 

2.      Erzsebet Nagy Lawrence

Meet: at MCI

Place: 1^st

Time: 20:02.91

Nagy looks to be in top form as she dominated the field at MCI running a time of 20:02.91. Her time was over two minutes ahead of the runner up. Look for Nagy to try and chase down Bethanie Brown at the Festival of Champions.

3.      Aleta Looker Ellsworth

Meet: at Manchester

Place: 1^st

Time: 19:17 Small School Race

What Looker has done the past couple of weeks has been absolutely spectacular. Her performance at the Manchester Invitational proved that she belongs with the top runners in New England. Look for her to contend for the runner up at FOC.

4.      Brittany Bowman Camden Hills

Meet: at Cony

Place: 2^nd

Time: 20:21.59

Bowman continues to perform at an elite level as she placed second to Bethanie Brown at Cony running a time of 20:21.59. Look for her to contend for the runner up at FOC.

5.      Charlotte Pierce Thornton Academy

Last Week: 5

Meet: at Marshwood

Place: 1^st

Time: 21:16

Pierce set the course record at Marshwood running a great time of 21:16. She was nearly 90 seconds ahead of the runner up. Look for her to contend for the runner up at FOC.

6.      Kirstin Sandrueter Greely

Last Week: 6

Meet: Manchester Invitational

Place: 2^nd

Time: 19:22

Sandrueter has continued to improve since her return from injury as she placed second to Aleta Looker in the Small School race running a fine time of 19:22. Sandrueter’s next race is on her home course on Oct. 5^th where she should win easily.

7.      Abby Hersom Oceanside

Meet: at Lincoln Academy

Place: 1^st

Time: 19:19

Hersom cruised to an easy victory at Lincoln Academy running a great time of 19:19. Look for Hersom to contend for a top five finish at FOC.

8.      Mary Szatkowski

Meet: at Kennebunk

Place: 1^st

Time: 18:16

Szatkowski took home the victory in a loaded SMAA meet at Kennebunk running a time of 18:16. Look for her to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.

9.      Samantha Cox Bonny Eagle

Meet: at Kennebunk

Place: 2^nd

Time: 18:22

Cox placed second to her teammate at Kennebunk as she covered the 2.9 mile course in 18:22. Look for Cox to contend for a top five finish at FOC.

10. Shannon Conley Cheverus

Place: 3^rd

Time: 18:27

Conley placed third at Kennebunk running a time of 18:27. Look for Conley to contend for a top ten finish at FOC.
