And the winner is...



1. Anne Guadalupi Cony

SB: 19:05.73 Place at States: 10th Class A

Guadalupi had a spectacular first year on the trails as she took the KVAC by storm this fall. We got a glimspe of how good she is at the Festival of Champions as she dominated the freshmen race running a time of 19:21.39 Her time that day was the 8th fastest overall. She continued to impress in the post season. She won easily at the Mt. Blue Relays covering the two mile course in 13:18. She placed second at the KVAC Championships to Teresa Murphy of Brunswick running a time of 20:43.6. She then followed up her performance by winning the Eastern A Regional running a personal best time of 19:05.73. At the state meet last week, she placed tenth overall running a time of 20:15.42 on the historically tough Twin Brook's course. Expect her to be one of the favorites to win the Class A title next year.

2. Tia Tardy Mattawanacook
SB: 19:56.51
Notable Performances: 3rd at Class C State Championship 20:47.55, 2nd at Eastern C Regional Championships 19:58.06, 2nd in Freshmen race at FOC (19th overall) 19:56.51

3. Lydia Dacorette MDI
SB: 19:46.59
Notable Performances: 6th at Class B State Championship 20:50.57, 6th at Eastern B Regional 19:46.59, 6th at PVC Championships 21:02.79

4. Emma Trapani Camden Hills
SB: 20:04.26
Notable Performances: 1st at Belfast (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:13.50, 1st at Medomak Valley (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:04.26, 2nd at Cony (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 21:21

5. Kassidy Dill Orono
SB: 20:25.40
Notable Performances: 5th at Class C State Championships 21:15.31, 4th at Eastern C Regional 20:34.29, 5th in Freshmen Race at FOC (35th overall) 20:25.40

Girls Individual Rankings Week 8


1. Kirstin Sandreuter Greely

Pre: 1 Meet: WMR Class B Place: 1st Time: 19:02.02
Sandreuter showed no ill-effects from her time off as she dominated the Western B regional running the fastest time of all classes (19:02.02). She's the heavy favorite to win the Class B title.

2. Aleta Looker Ellsworth

Pre: 3 Meet: EMR Class B Place: 1st Time: 18:54.85
Looker cruised to an easy win at the Eastern B regional running a fast time of 18:54.85. Look for her to challenge Sandreuter for the B title. 

3. Kialeigh Marston Bonny Eagle

Pre: 6 Meet: WMR Class A Place: 1st Time: 19:29.30
Marston was the individual victor at the Western A Regional as she posted the second fastest time of all classes running 19:29.30. She's the slight favorite in Class A going into Saturday.

4. Anne Guadalupi Cony
Pre: 9 Meet: EMR Class A Place: 1st Time: 19:05.73
Guadalupi won the Eastern A regional title as she posted the second fastest time of all classes running 19:05.73. Look for her to challenge for the win on Saturday.

5. Mary Szatkowski Bonny Eagle
Pre: 5 Meet: WMR Class A Place: 2nd Time: 19:38.35
Szatkowksi placed second to her teammate Marston at the Western A regional as she ran a fast time of 19:38.35. Look for Szatkowksi to challenge for a top three finish on Saturday.

6. Teresa Murphy Brunswick
Pre: 9 Meet: EMR Class A Place: 2nd Time: 19:26.57
Murphy was the runner up to Guadalupi on Saturday as she ran a solid time of 19:26.57. Look for Murphy to challenge for a top three finish this weekend. 

7. Carsyn Koch Washburn
Pre: 10 Meet: EMR Class C Place: 1st Time: 19:30.34
Koch dominated the Eastern C regional as she posted the fifth fastest time of all classes running a time of 19:30.34. Koch looks like the favorite in Class C once again.

8. Elizabeth Labun Hampden Academy
Pre: UR Meet: EMR Class A Place: 3rd Time: 19:32.85
Labun placed third at the Eastern A regional as she ran a fast time of 19:32.85. Look for her to challenge for a top five finish on Saturday.

9. Kiera Murray Cheverus
Pre: 6 Meet: WMR Class A Place:4th Time: 19:52.57
Murray placed fourth at the Western A regional as she broke the 20 minute barrier running a time of 19:52.57. Expect Murray to challenge for a top five finish on Saturday.

10. Shannon Conley South Portland
Pre: 2 Meet: WMR Class A Place: DNF Time: N/A
Conley wasn't able to finish on Saturday, but don't expect that to faze her as she looks to challenge for a top five finish at the state meet.
