1. Anne Guadalupi Cony

SB: 19:05.73 Place at States: 10th Class A

Guadalupi had a spectacular first year on the trails as she took the KVAC by storm this fall. We got a glimspe of how good she is at the Festival of Champions as she dominated the freshmen race running a time of 19:21.39 Her time that day was the 8th fastest overall. She continued to impress in the post season. She won easily at the Mt. Blue Relays covering the two mile course in 13:18. She placed second at the KVAC Championships to Teresa Murphy of Brunswick running a time of 20:43.6. She then followed up her performance by winning the Eastern A Regional running a personal best time of 19:05.73. At the state meet last week, she placed tenth overall running a time of 20:15.42 on the historically tough Twin Brook's course. Expect her to be one of the favorites to win the Class A title next year.

2. Tia Tardy Mattawanacook
SB: 19:56.51
Notable Performances: 3rd at Class C State Championship 20:47.55, 2nd at Eastern C Regional Championships 19:58.06, 2nd in Freshmen race at FOC (19th overall) 19:56.51

3. Lydia Dacorette MDI
SB: 19:46.59
Notable Performances: 6th at Class B State Championship 20:50.57, 6th at Eastern B Regional 19:46.59, 6th at PVC Championships 21:02.79

4. Emma Trapani Camden Hills
SB: 20:04.26
Notable Performances: 1st at Belfast (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:13.50, 1st at Medomak Valley (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 20:04.26, 2nd at Cony (KVAC Reg Season Meet) 21:21

5. Kassidy Dill Orono
SB: 20:25.40
Notable Performances: 5th at Class C State Championships 21:15.31, 4th at Eastern C Regional 20:34.29, 5th in Freshmen Race at FOC (35th overall) 20:25.40

The Erin Hannon Award


The Erin Award is given annually to the best freshmen girl in the state

And the winner is…….

 

Tessa Cassidy Brunswick
 

Tessa Cassidy had an outstanding freshmen campaign as we saw her mix it up with the top girls in Class A. She showed her true form at the Festival of Champions placing second in the freshmen race running a time of 19:54.40. Her time was the 18th fastest of the day. Her finest race of the season came at Eastern Regional Championships where she placed second to Erzsebet Nagy running a time of 20:36.31. She followed up her performance with a ninth place showing at the state meet running a time of 19:40.51. Cassidy placed 84th at the New England Championships on Saturday running a time of 20:53.56. Look for Cassidy to only improve from here, and challenge for the Class A title next fall.

The Erin Hannon Award

The Erin Hannon Award is given to the top Freshman girl in the state


and the winner is.....


Willow Parker Camden Hills

SB: 18:59.43

Parker had an outstanding Freshman campaign topped off with a 23rd place finish at the New England Championships this past Saturday as she achieved All-New England status. Parker placed 8th at the Festival of Champions running a time of 20:06.15 as she led her team to a runner up finish. A few weeks later she placed third at the KVAC Championships running a time of 20:42.20. Parker came up big when it counted as she placed fifth at the Class B state meet running a time of 20:18.45. Her time was the 12th fastest time of all classes. Look for Parker to continue her dominance of the KVAC throughout her career.
