Week 3 Power Rankings: Girls Teams

1.       MDI

Last Week: 1

Meet: at Orono

Place: 1^st

MDI cruised to another easy victory at Orono as they placed their top five in the top six overall. Maggie Painter was their top finisher as she placed second overall covering the 2.76 mile course in 19:10.92. Look for MDI to win the Sectional Invitational in Old Town this Saturday.

2.       Masssabesic

Last Week: 2

Meet: at Thornton Academy

Place: 1^st

Massabesic took home another victory behind Jocelyn Acheson’s second place finish. Massabesic has a tough test on Friday when they face off against Bonny Eagle and Cheverus.

3.       Bonny Eagle

Last Week: 3

Meet: at Sanford

Place: ?

Results from the Sanford met have yet to be shown, but that shouldn’t effect Bonny Eagle’s ranking for the time being. They will face their biggest challenge yet this Friday when they race against BE and Cheverus.

4.       Camden Hills

Last Week: 4

Meet: at Medomak

Place: 1^st

Camden Hills looked very impressive in their win at Medomak Valley as they placed six runners in the top ten. Leading the way for them was Brittany Bowman who placed second running a time of 20:39.65. Camden heads to Cony on Friday.

5.       Greely

Last Week: 5

Meet: at Wells

Place: 1^st

The Rangers looked dominant in their win at Wells as they were paced by Kirstin Sandrueter who took home the victory running 19:04. Look for Greely to be very competitive at the Manchester Invitational on Saturday.

6.       Cheverus

Last Week: 6

Meet: at Westbrook

Place: 1^st

Cheverus cruised to an easy victory as their trio of Murray, Conley and Caso took the top three spots overall. They will have their hands full with Bonny Eagle and Massabesic on Friday.

7.       Mt. Ararat

Last Week: 9

Meet: Home

Place: 1^st

Mt. Ararat dispatched their top rival Brunswick on their home course last Friday. Kelly Lynch led the way for Mt. Ararat as she took home the victory running a time of 21:35.29. Mt. Ararat heads to Brunswick on Thursday.

8.       Caribou

Last Week: 7

Meet: Caribou Invitational

Place: 2^nd

Caribou placed second at the Caribou Invitational on Sep. 8^th. Look for them to contend for the top spot at the Sectional Invitational in Old Town this Saturday.

9.       Brunswick

Last Week: 8

Meet: at Mt. Ararat

Place: 3^rd

Brunswick placed third out of five teams at Mt. Ararat as they were led by Tiffany Tanner’s runner up finish. Brunswick will get their shot at revenge as they host Mt. Ararat on Thursday.

10.   Falmouth

Last Week: UR

Meet: at Freeport

Place: 1^st

Falmouth looked very impressive in their win at Freeport as they put seven runners in the top ten overall. Madeline Roberts took home the victory running a time of 20:25.7. The Yachtsmen are host to a five team meet on Friday.
