Week 3 Power Rankings: Boys Teams


 
 

1.       Scarborough

Last Week: 1

Meet: at Marshwood

Place: 1st

The Red Storm looked dominant in their victory at Marshwood as they put six runners in the top ten overall. Jack Sullivan led the way as he placed third. Scarborough hosts Biddeford, Deering and Sanford this Friday.

2.       Falmouth

Last Week: 3

Meet: at Freeport

Place: 1st

Falmouth showed off their depth as they had five runners run under 18 minutes. Bryce Murdick led the way for them as he placed second overall running a time of 17:09. Falmouth will run on their home course this Friday where they should win going away.

3.       Lewiston

Last Week: 2

Meet: at Lewiston

Place: 1st

Results from the Messalonskee meet have yet to come in, but that shouldn’t change Lewiston’s ranking. Look for them to cruise to a victory on Friday when they head to Oxford Hills.

4.       Ellsworth

Last Week: 6

Meet: at Presque Isle

Place: 1st

Ellsworth cruised to another easy victory at Presque Isle. Dan Curts led the way as he took home another victory running a time of 16:04. Look for them to win the Sectional Invitational on Saturday.

5.       Cape Elizabeth

Last Week: 4

Meet: at Kittery

Place: 1st

Cape Elizabeth shook off a big challenge from York as they took home the victory at Kittery. Peter Doane and Liam Simpson led the charge for the Capers as they placed second and third respectively. Cape heads to GNG on Friday.

6.       Bangor

Last Week: 5

Meet: at Hampden

Place: 1st

Bangor won at Hampden Academy as they were led by Jon Stanhope who placed first overall. Look for Bangor to cruise once again when they head to MCI on Friday.

7.       Caribou

Last Week: 7

Meet: Caribou Invitational

Place: 2nd

Caribou placed second at the Caribou Invitational last week as they were paced by Ron Lund who placed second overall. Look for Caribou to contend for the Sectional Title this Saturday in Old Town.

8.       York

Last Week: 10

Meet: at Kittery

Place: 2nd

York nearly took down Cape Elizabeth as they were led by Nick Eaton who placed fourth overall. York heads to Falmouth on Friday.

9.       Mt. Blue

Last Week: 8

Meet: at Leavitt

Place: 1st

Mt. Blue looked dominant at Leavitt as their top four took the top spots overall. Justin Tracy took home the victory running a time of 17:59. Mt. Blue heads to Brunswick on Thursday.

10.   Mt. Ararat

Last Week: 9

Meet: Home

Place: 1st

Mt. Ararat looked very impressive on their home course as they put four runners in the top five overall. Sam Wood was their number one runner as he took home another victory. Mt. Ararat hosts a four team meet on Thursday.

 

Team of the Week: Falmouth
